“SmoKING Kills”: The Paradoxes of Contemporaneity

Abstract

The narrative follows the format of stream of consciousness or internal dialogic reflectivity in order to present an existentialist theme of a chain smoker’s world-construction, specifically in relation to the business of politics as well as the politics of business in the realm of burnout society. The story reflects on the issue of financial abuse while the author of the text laments over his thrownness into the absurd state of the world affairs by often drawing on erotic, libidinal thematic constructs.
